i’m intrested in witchcraft and i’ve been following your advice in the newsletters you’ve sent me. i want to get a real spell book to look over and find some spells that intrest me and start practicing the craft, but my parents don’t approve of witchcraft. do you know of any spellbooks i can buy online without a credit card, that aren’t obvious looking. in other words, spellbooks that don’t shout “hey, i’m full of spells!” on the cover? i know it’s a dumb question, but i’d love to here from you.
blessed be,
jessica
Jessica,
If you are interested in acquiring a spellbook that is not obvious, create your own. Go to your local bookstore and buy a blank book and begin your own Book of Shadows. You can research spells on line and transcribe them into the book yourself.
That said, I would recommend that you not try to hide your beliefs from your parents. That can never lead to any good. Most of the time, keeping secrets from people leads to them not trusting you and at your age, you need your parents’Â love and support.
Instead, I would suggest talking to your parents about your beliefs and why you hold them. If you can explain to your parents, adult to adult, why you believe in the Craft and what the Craft means, you may find that your time spent living in their house is much easier.
If they are completely unwilling to accept your faith, it would be in your best interest to wait to begin practicing spells until you have another place to live. They are giving you a place to live and paying your bills. You should respect their wishes as long as you live in their home.
Once you live elsewhere, you can reutrn to the Craft and begin practicing it as you wish, but for now, the most important thing is to respect the people who take care of you.
Hi, my name is olivia. I really want to become a witch. And I really want a spell book, I don’t care if it screams ‘this is olivia’s spell book!’ or says ‘this is just a stupid little book’. And i have some questions, [if you don't mind answering them]:
1)can i buy a spellbook at a bookstore?
2)would my spells work if i made them up?
3)how exactly does a witches magick work?
4)how can i get my spells to work, cause when i try i just cant seem to concentrate or something?
thank you SO much,
