Im incline to witchcraft…coz i loove the movie The craft and the show Charmed a How can i start to practice? what is the first step?

I enjoy watching movies with a touch of enchantment in them. But and it is a big but, the Craft is different in many ways to that which is shown on the Silver Screen :).

Let us start with your last question. “What is the first step?”. Well, the first step is for you research ‘white’ witchcraft. In addition to the resources on the internet, there are many really good books available on the topic. Most of the books written by Silver Ravenwolf, Scott Cunningham and Raymond Buckland are available in book stores and on the internet.

Once you have done enough research, you will need to ask yourself some questions and be brutally honest to yourself when answering it.

1. Can I live within the rules of witchcraft and obey the Wiccan Rede?

2. Am I prepared to work hard and diligently at acquiring the necessary skills to become a witch. This will include studying the elements, understanding the use of tools, meditation and visualisation etc?

3. Is this a spiritual decision? Do I believe in that which I have read? Does it make sense to me?

If your answer to questions 1, 2 and 3 are yes, then you may be ready to study the Craft. Next decide whether you want to practice as a solitary or as a member of a coven. Take great care before joining a coven. It is always a good idea to first double check the values and philosophy of a Coven before joining them as a seeker.
